Job Description
The Trust Fund Accounting Section is a highly complex work area responsible for all of the financial reporting for the Unemployment Insurance program. The Unemployment Agency has issued over 13 million benefit payments in a single year valued at over $6 billion dollars; and received over $3 billion in employer contributions and federal revenue. This position functions as the liaison for the agency's banking services and audit coordinator for the annual financial and single audits. These duties include facilitating problem resolution for banking related issues, coordinating & suggesting process improvements, and serving as the security coordinator for the vendor financial systems.
This position will also provide continuous oversight and improvement of the Trust Fund Accounting Section's computerized and automated operations. This position is responsible for reporting and tracking automated system service requests and ensuring the data integrity and accuracy of financial reporting information. This position is also responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of databases and queries to support the Accounting and Tech units.
This position will analyze on-going program operations and recommend modifications of policies and procedures to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Position Description
Required Education and Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Preferred candidate would have at least eight semester credits in Accounting, Finance, or Statistics.

One year of professional experience.
*Departmental Analyst P11*
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
