### Description
**Primary Function:**
The Lead Maintenance Technician is the conduit between the department Supervisors and Technicians. The lead will train techs, lead project teams and provide status reporting to Supervisors and Managers.

******Primary Responsibilities:**
* Responsible for maintenance of mechanical assets throughout the facility as set forth by the facility maintenance manager.
* Requires a high degree of ingenuity to support the optimization of plant equipment through performance of corrective/preventative maintenance and the implantation of new products and methods.
* Perform all responsibilities of Technician I and Technician II positions as needed.
* Train technicians on departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them develop their skill set.
* Monitor the progress of work orders.
* Provide status reporting to Supervisors and Managers.
* Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material/product handling equipment components.
* Complete preventative maintenance routines as directed
* Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
* Ensures equipment, tools, and spare parts are accounted for and secured when not in use.
* Perform preventative / predictive and emergency maintenance of equipment using appropriate job plans, procedures and manuals within safe, legal and contractually permissible limits.
* Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays and proximity sensors.
* Responsible for maintaining spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel.
* Responsible for maintaining qualifications to perform tasks through ongoing training programs of new and existing equipment.
* Follows all established plant maintenance procedures.
* Perform all functions necessary to ensure the efficient and reliable maintenance of the plant for optimized production levels.
* Ensure materials and supplies are available to complete daily assigned maintenance.
* Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
* All other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* PC knowledge, Microsoft Office OS
* Experience with predictive / preventative maintenance tools and procedures
* Repair of material handling equipment
* Electrical & Electronic knowledge
* Leadership ability
* Requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of plant maintenance, and a good working knowledge of carpentry, and plumbing

* Combination of office and refrigerated warehouse environment
* Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
* Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending on a regular basis
* Must be competent with windows based computer applications
