Job Summary

The Division of Urologic Oncology within the Department of Urology is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to work as research coordinator for a prospective study focused on prostate cancer genetics. This is a unique study which will be prospectively enrolling men with prostate cancer who are eligible for germline genetic testing. Candidates will be expected to perform independently as well as part of a team and will be absolutely integral to the successful completion of this study.


+ Ensure study is carried out according to the study protocol, SOPs, and ICH/GCP regulations and study specific manuals and procedures under the supervision of the PI and CO-I.

+ Screen and recruit study subjects from clinic, schedule follow-up appointments, complete study assessments, educate patients and physicians regarding the specifics of each study.

+ Act as liaison between research staff, other departments, sponsor and the IRB.

+ Assist PI in reviewing progress of the study and evaluating results.

+ Design and maintain a RedCap database and survey for tracking subjects and research questionnaires

+ Gather data; supervise data collection and verification; and oversee literature reviews.

+ Perform data analysis and interprets results.

+ Co-author/author publications; may co-present with PI at meetings and conferences; assist in acquiring research funding for future studies, including writing grant proposals.

+ Review source data and case report forms for accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the data, and identifying and resolving ongoing data issues.

+ Arrange and participate in research team meetings, including scheduling, creating the agenda and preparing minutes.

**Required Qualifications***

+ Bachelor's degree

+ Proven ability to take initiative

+ Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods

+ Evidence of publication in academic journal(s) and/or presentation at scientific conference(s) preferred

+ Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

+ Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving ability, as well as ability to work under pressure, re-prioritize tasks independently, and meet deadlines with high degree of accuracy

+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and attention to detail with strong follow-through skills

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cooperatively

+ Strong passion for ideas, learning, and knowledge and ability to adapt to changing needs
