### Summary

This position is located at Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. There may be some travel or duty station at Selfridge ANG Base.

### Responsibilities
Works under general supervision of the Community Recreation Manager. Discusses and coordinates with supervisor current and planned activities and events to include arrangements for special programs and to assure continuous, prompt and courteous customer service.
Provides guests with local information concerning available programs and activities, making individual reservations, answering questions concerning any aspect of operated facilities and providing prompt, courteous service in any area requested.
Prepares marketing materials for Outdoor recreation programs.
Receives payments, issues receipts as required. documents business transactions through computer posting entries, process retail sales through cash register, ensures proper internal control procedures on key issue, money transactions, safeguarding of property are followed.
May assist in setting up parties or events according to party plan.
Submits daily report of Recreation Operations.

* Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
* A one year probationary period may be required

### Qualifications
1. Must be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal).
2. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry 40 pounds, walk, bend and stoop and stand on a routine basis.
3. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
